No matter how hard I try to live in the present, I’m constantly looking ahead. I’m one of those people who likes planning vacations as much as actually going on them. When it comes to changing plans or even canceling them? Let’s just say I’m better at being flexible than I used to be!
All that is one of the reasons why these last few months have been difficult. Lots and lots of plans have changed as well as multiple trips and appearances have been canceled. It’s been disappointing and frustrating.
However, all this has also reminded me to count my blessings and to embrace unexpected things. My family hasn’t gotten sick, I’ve made a point to reach out to friends and family more often…and we’re even expecting our first grandchild!
I’ve also been planning, plotting, and writing new books! In 2021, I’ll be publishing books through several publishers-including a Harlequin Cold Case release in July. The Harlequin is close to my heart, since many years ago, I struggled for years to achieve my first Harlequin sale.
As I read this post, I have to smile. Even though I’ve learned some things in 2020, I guess I haven’t yet broken my habit of looking ahead! I guess some things are simply meant to stay the same.
Wishing all of you blessings today.
